I'd like to share this information on this Valentines in honor of the two men in this photo. These two men were very respectful and hard working men who were a great influence in my life.

The man in the dark blue shirt is the late Steve Watkins and the man in the light blue shirt is my late Grandfather Daniel Elias Campbell. I took this photo, “Historic Farmers”, in the year of our Lord 1991.

Both The Watkins and Campbells have been living about 6 and half miles south of Rockingham, NC for over 120 years now. Five generations ago Steve Watkins' grandfather, Teve Watkins, gave Daniel Elias Campbell’s father, A. Elias Campbell, some six week peas to plant. A. Elias Campbell saved some of the six week peas for replanting year after year. Until this day my family and I plant and save seeds that A. Elias Campbell started 5 generations ago. I do not know if anyone will find that impressive but I sure do.
